Bookkeeper

- Tertiary Qualification: Degree in Accounting / Finance.
- 5 10 years relevant experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Proficiency in computer accounting applications (Pastel, Zero, Microsoft BI)
- Experience in Pastel advantageous.
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills and business understanding.
- Ability to adapt and respond to change.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and responsibility for delivering work accurately and timeously.
- Ability to self-review work before submitting it for managerial review.
- Efficiency in time management.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively and under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Proactive with ideas and initiatives.
Bookkeeping
- Full accounting function (includes creditors) up to trial balance for up to 7 companies.
- Ensure the general ledger is perfectly maintained.
- Reporting monthly for up to 7 companies.
- Provide cashflow (twice within the month) required for decision making.
- Calculating of Tax, regulatory compliance, filing of returns Vat, PAYE and other tax related matters.
- Account for Stock (FMCG).
- Account for Forex and be able to drawn down and match FEC deals.
- Assist in the annual audit preparing audit packs
- Assist in Budget function.
- Giving advice to CFO and CEO and carrying out adhoc requests.
- Upload of fixed asset Registers.
- Controlling and managing Accrual Accounts.
- Managing of Internal and External loan schedules and amorts.
- Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.
- Maintain discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
