The Griller at our 5-star game lodge in Limpopo will be responsible for preparing and grilling a variety of high-quality meats and other foods to enhance the guest dining experience.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, an understanding of game lodge operations, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Prepare and grill meats, seafood, vegetables, and other foods according to the lodge's standards and guest preferences
Quality Control:
Ensure that all grilled foods are cooked to the correct temperature, consistency, and presentation
Sanitation:
Maintain a clean and organized grilling area, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Menu Development:
Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and refine the lodge's grilling menu, incorporating local and seasonal ingredients
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory of grilling supplies and ingredients, ensuring timely ordering and stock rotation
Guest Interaction:
Occasionally interact with guests to receive feedback and special requests, ensuring a personalized dining experience
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate cooking times, preparation methods, and plating.
