PRETORIA - GAUTENG (South Africa)

START: A.S.A.P / September 2024

REPORT TO: General Manager

SHIFTS & TRADING HOURS:

  • Tuesday - Sunday
  • CLOSED on Mondays
  • 08:00 - 22:00 (Open/Close Shifts) including lunch/dinner break
  • Hospitality environment - trading all public holidays including Christmas, New Years & Easter, etc.
  • Flexibility is key

REMUNERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS:

  • R27,000 per month (Gross)
  • Revenue & T/O incentives

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must have own, reliable transport - not negotiable
  2. Ability to work shifts as required seasonally including major holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc.)
  3. Beautifully groomed, well presented and professional appearance
  4. Spa management experience in 4+ Star rated Hotel / Ship or Resort

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Certification from a recognized Beauty Training facility with qualifications in either Spa / Beauty / Cosmetology / Spa Management
  2. City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / SAAHSP

EXPERIENCE:

  1. At least 5 years experience in Spa environment
  2. Minimum 3 years managerial experience of Spa, Hotel Spa or Cruise Ship Spa
  3. Cruise ship employment experience highly beneficial (but not essential)
  4. Experience leading a large, diverse team of Spa professionals

DESIRED SKILLS:

  1. Fluent and confident in English language (Read, Write & Speak)
  2. Computer literate using various software systems to aid scheduling, budgeting and operations
  3. Ability to liaise with various department heads on a business level
  4. Strong business acumen
  5. Confident in relationship cultivating with your spa team and colleagues of all levels and seniority
  6. Driven - lead the team for success in revenue and KPI
  7. Understand the conditions of employment and various acts applicable in SA
  8. Strong interpersonal skills - nurturing and professional aptitude
  9. Ability to work under pressure and reach deadlines
  10. Ability to engage and liaise with tact and discretion - we service many discerning guests
