Assistant to The Chief Technical Officer

The role focuses on ensuring smooth collaboration across teams, tracking project deliverables, and coordinating department initiatives, while supporting the Chief Technical Officer in executing strategic priorities.
Liaison & Coordination:
- Act as a key point of contact between the CTO and internal departments, ensuring effective communication and timely progress updates.
- Coordinate and facilitate collaboration between departments such as Projects, Support, and Operations, ensuring alignment with the CTOs goals.
- Track department initiatives and support the follow-up on project deadlines.
Project Support:
- Assist in monitoring project timelines, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with the Projects team.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather status updates and ensure that the CTO has the necessary information for decision-making.
- Identify bottlenecks or potential issues in project workflows and communicate them to the CTO and relevant departments.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on departmental activities, project status, and performance metrics.
- Collect data from relevant departments and teams for analysis, providing the CTO with key insights for strategic decisions.
- Support in the preparation of documentation for project reviews or meetings with internal stakeholders.
Meeting Facilitation:
- Help organize internal departmental meetings, ensuring all necessary documentation and reports are prepared and distributed in advance.
- Act as a liaison during meetings between the CTO and department heads, ensuring clear follow-up actions and deliverables are communicated.
Ad-hoc Tasks:
- Provide support for specific tasks or projects as directed by the CTO.
- Assist with data collection, report preparation, and follow-up activities on departmental initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple departments and facilitate effective communication.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and track multiple ongoing projects and tasks.
Attention to Detail:
- Ensures accuracy in reports, project tracking, and follow-up communications.
Languages:
- Proficient in both English and Afrikaans (preferred).
Required Qualifications/Experience:
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a coordination, project support, or administrative role in a corporate environment.
- Experience working across multiple departments, particularly in a project-driven organization.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Work Environment:
- Location: Strictly office based.
