Water Treatment Plant Supervisor

We are looking for a skilled Water Treatment Process Controller that will utilise their knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies to provide technical support and leadership to our new Water Treatment Plant and Water Treatment Attendants.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and treat wastewater safely, efficiently and effectively to remove substances harmful to our process and then return treated water to be reused within the Galv Plant operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Water Treatment Attendants working on a continuous shift pattern
  • Analyse disposal methods or treatments for sludge and recommend and develop sludge treatment methods to best serve the business.
  • Ensure that ISO9001 requirements are maintained.
  • Represent the company during technical meetings with our service providers and stakeholders
  • Conduct process audits and compile monthly report on Water Treatment Plant process performance.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
  • Familiarity with applicable safety, health and environmental regulations
  • Able to work under pressure and handle constructive feedback

Qualifications / Experience

  • Chemical Engineering Degree
  • Basic MS EXCEL and Outlook
  • Forklift license an advantage
  • Experience in water treatment will be an advantage
Hendok is POPIA compliant.
