ABOUTHMM:

  • Hotazel Manganese Mines (HMM) is made up of two Manganese mines Mamatwan and Wessels. Both operations are located in the Kalahari Basin, home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese reserves.

WHAT SOUTH32 OFFER:

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is a permanent full-time position.

  • As aSuperintendent Business Planning, you will be primary accountable for the setup (budget) and planning of the regional logistics strategy, make strategic recommendations in achieving the targets in distribution, reporting performance of plan to management, predict future outcomes and mitigation to optimise the planning horizon.
  • The successful candidate will be based in our Johannesburg office, Melrose Arch .

Otherkey responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Ensure the budget formulation is aligned to strategic direction and optimised to deliver the best outcome for the business;
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics 2-year horizon, warehouse capacities, transportation modes and inventory levels to meet demand;
  • Supports Analysis and improvement to effect improvements in the logistics supply chain;
  • Provide input into the Integrated Operations stakeholder management plan, improvement plans and support its effective Implementation;
  • Manage Quality Forecast process within the value chain and ensure that necessary mitigations are assigned and effective;
  • Ensure business maintains risk profile as depicted by the OW limits for all saleable products across the supply chains. Monitoring the flows of goods;
  • Own the OW model and ensure OW is updated annually with Marketing aligned to business planning process;
  • Develop and maintain excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships;
  • Supports the business through leading all systems related work (including S4/Hannah)

ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • years industry experience with management level exposure to bulk logistics chain management;
  • Professional registration with related Professional body would be advantageous;
  • Industry experience is essential.

Qualifications for this role are:

  • Degree/Diploma in commercial/engineering/marketing/finance fields;
  • Post Graduate Business Qualification;
  • Financial Qualification would be advantageous.
