Requirements:

  • Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse
  • At least 25 years relevant experience in Trauma
  • Management experience advantageous
  • Excellent leadership qualities and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem solving skills
  • The skill to manage nursing standards and inservice training
  • Maintain a professional image and character
  • Accurate administration skills
  • Commitment to initiate and implement continuous improvement projects
  • Excellent MS Officer Computer skills i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Critical and analytical thinking

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management of staff within the company's IR policies, Basic Conditions of Employment and the disciplinary Code
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures at all times
  • Management of staffing in accordance with the company policies
  • Manage the day to day problem solving, including stock control
  • Conduct regular quality focus rounds
  • Maintain infection control strategies and procedures of the hospital
  • Maintain health and safety principles
  • Focus on quality care
  • Evaluation, intervention and resolution of patient complaints and queries
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Manage adhoc projects as and when required
