Job Summary


To administer deceased estates ranking from normal to more complex estates which might involve Capital Gain Tax and Estate Duty.


Job Description:

End to end administration of a deceased estate in accordance with the Estate Administration Act.

Education and Experience Required

  • National Diploma in Estate and Trust or Deceased Estate Administration Course via Law Society of SA or equivalent NQF level 5 qualification or higher
  • Two (2) years experience within deceased estate administration environment
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet
  • No criminal record

Knowledge & Skills:
(Maximum of 6)

  • Knowledge of Administration Of Estates Act (Solid)
  • Knowledge of Intestate Succession Act (Solid)
  • Knowledge of Financial Statements (Basic)
  • Knowledge of Estate Duty Act (Basic)
  • Knowledge of Wills Act (Basic)
  • Knowledge of Income Tax Act (Basic)
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans (Solid)
Computer literacy (Basic)

Education

Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC): Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
