Cape Ardor is an online wine ecommerce retailer that helps bring our customers wines they love from their favorite wine destinations across the globe.

We are a tight-knit, motivated team of wine geeks with a culture that champions our values of communication, curiosity, simplification, growth and execution.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with all-round digital marketing experience and a deep appreciation for wine to join our team.

This role will report to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and support any and all digital marketing efforts across both Cape Ardor and CellarX.

We work hard and produce results, but also offer a fun and rewarding environment for someone who is willing and excited to learn, grow and contribute to our shared goals.

This is a fully remote position that requires regular online meetings and occasional travel to our team meetups and strategy sessions in the Cape Winelands.

About the role:

Key Performance Areas

  • Content Marketing

Collaborate with the content team to create compelling and relevant content including regular blog posts, website banners, and multimedia content.

Liaise with third-party stakeholders for SEO-optimized blog content, affiliate content, and design.

Should have a solid understanding of SEO content writing and the ability to write engaging, high-converting, and well-researched copy for marketing and advertising campaigns.


  • Social Media Management
Develop and manage social media campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Linked In. Create engaging and shareable content, foster community engagement and leverage affiliates to enhance brand awareness and increase sales

  • Digital Strategy
Support and execute comprehensive digital strategies aligned with business objectives. Conduct market research, and competitive analysis, and identify industry trends and growth opportunities.

  • SEO
Support management in implementing SEO best practices to optimize website content for search engines and improve organic search rankings. Conduct keyword research, monitor website performance and maintain marketing reports.

  • PPC
Researching, implementing, and optimizing our PPC campaigns to drive traffic and conversions. Should possess a solid understanding of PPC advertising, keyword research, and audience targeting.

  • Marketing Administration
Provide administrative support related to e-commerce website data management and marketing channel maintenance. Set up, organize, and maintain projects within internal project management software. Manage and maintain the nuts and bolts of an interconnected and holistic digital marketing ecosystem, designed to increase sales and brand awareness for both Cape Ardor Wines and CellarX

  • Graphic Design
  • Analytics and Reporting
Utilize analytics tools to track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators. Gain actionable insights from data and use this to inform and optimize marketing decision-making.

Qualification in Marketing, Digital Media, or related field
Proven experience in digital marketing, preferably within the e-commerce or wine industry
Excellent copywriting ability across a variety of content types. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Creative mindset with a passion for the wine industry.
Curious spirit, always seeking new solutions to problems, ways to improve systems and workflows, and improve efficiency or output.
A foundational knowledge of wine is highly advantageous.
Quiet and stable home office setup with high speed, reliable internet required.
