A company of marketing and food industry brands is looking for a talented and creative individual in Pretoria, South Africa as a
Full-Time Mid-Senior Copywriter.



  • Creating fresh and interesting ideas for their work, with unique angles and approaches.
  • Attention to detail and close attention to grammar, punctuation and spelling, as well as understanding the overall tone and voice of the brands they will be writing for.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously, from short headlines to longerform content, and adapt their creative style to fit the needs of each project.
  • A high level of maturity, critical thinking skills and common sense, is needed to deal with a highpressure, deadlineorientated, highly disciplined team environment.
  • A persistence for excellence and an ability to maturely face criticism and evaluation to deliver continuously improved work.
  • Adaptability and a natural curiosity for new technologies, trends and best practices within specific industries and the world at large.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing social media content strategies across all major social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter).
  • Conceptualising and creating engaging and shareable social media content, including photos, videos, graphics and animations.
  • Managing and monitoring social media accounts, responding to comments and messages, and maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute content plans that align with overall marketing goals and objectives.
  • Researching to stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities and consumer insights.
  • Generating creative ideas and concepts for campaigns and content and presenting them to the team for feedback and approval.
  • Proofreading and editing content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to produce highquality content that meets brand standards and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
  • At least 35 years of experience in copywriting, social media management and content creation, preferably in the retail or food and hospitality industries.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with a strong understanding of grammar, punctuation and style.
  • Experience using social media management tools (including but not limited to Facebook
  • Business Suite, Google Business and YouTube tools) to schedule, publish and monitor social media content.
  • Knowledge of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices for organic and paid social media.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creativity, with the ability to generate unique and innovative ideas for content and campaigns.
  • Attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality control.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and other content and design creation tools is an advantage.

Also Required:

The advertised position is a full-time, in-office role, so the following requirements are compulsory.

  • Valid South African driver's license Code B.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Pretoriabased resident.
