HEARING NUMBERS +- 40 HEARINGS PER MONTH. EACH HEARING REQUIRES 3 HOURS ON AVERAGE. THEREFORE, CHARGES MUST BE CORRECT, EVERY HEARING PACK TO BE REVIEWED AND SEESA MUST BE MANAGED. FURTHERMORE, EVERY CCMA CASE MUST BE PREPARED 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE ARBITRATION. ENSURE THAT THE RELEVANT CEO REP IS FULLY PREPARED AND READY FOR THE ARBITRATION.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Are you currently an IR Officer WITHIN the Fashion Retail industry?
- Do you have TWO YEARS (or more) years experience chairing hearings?
- Have you successfully completed a Degree or 3 Year National Diploma in Labour Relations Management or Human Resource Management or similar?
- Do you have experience in CCMA (Arbitrations)?
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Liaise with Operations regarding I.R. Concerns.
- Assist Operations with drafting charges.
- Liaise with SEESA regarding any/all I.R. issues (including, but not limited to scheduling of Disciplinary Enquiries, Consultations, Department of Labour audits, Training needs, etc.)
- Ensure outcome is received from SEESA within 48 hours.
- Liaise with Operations relating to outcomes received from SEESA.
- Ensure sanctions are issued to staff.
- Ensure CEO are made aware of any and all CCMA cases.
- Meet, discuss and review all CCMA matters 2 weeks before Conciliation.
- Should the matter be referred to Arbitration, meet, discuss and review packs with CEO 2 weeks before the Arbitration date.
- Host a refresher meeting with CEO and the Operations a day before the Arbitration.
- Be the communication path between CEO and the Company during Arbitration.
- Ensure Warning tracker, Disciplinary Enquiry tracker and CCMA Tracker are updated daily.
- Assist operations with drafting of warnings, should the need arise.
- Assist Operations with Performance Management counselling.
- Assist Operations with instituting Performance Management Plans.
- Liaise with SEESA relating to Incapacity Enquiries (Performance & Ill Health).
- Policies and Procedures: Assist with drafting relevant Policies and Procedures for the Company and Assist in any/all policy implementations.
Salary:
R15,000 to R19,000 Cost to company per month (please note that salary is dependent on years of relevant experience, tertiary education, skills, relevant product and industry knowledge, etc.)
