Rainbow Chickens is looking for a skilled individual to join the Engineering Team as Artisan Assistant in the Mechanical department.

This position is based at our Worcester Processing Plant, Western Cape.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 1
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a mechanical/electrical maintenance environment
  • Good working knowledge of machinery
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work shifts/overtime/standby as per operational requirements
  • Punctuality and Attendance reliability

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance in the mechanical workshop
  • Diagnose and repair minor faults
  • Repair, adjust and replace failed or faulty component parts
  • Ensure work environment is always in a clean and neat condition
  • Adhere to health and safety
