Main Outputs and Responsibilities for This Position

  • Responsible for ensuring the PMO software system is updated and maintained.
  • Responsible for assisting and guiding project managers with developing detailed project schedules.
  • Setting projects up correctly on the system and in accordance with defined processes, procedures and templates.
  • Focus on scheduling governance and improving on Earned Value tracking in project scheduling.
  • Establish project documentation and ensure they are stored correctly.
  • Manage project template version control.
  • Assist with consolidating and driving project reporting in a consistent manner.
  • Follow up on tasks and activities relating to projects and programmes where needed.
  • Assist with streamlining project management processes.
Liaise with project managers and owners to gather information on overall financial performance of projects.

  • Drive certain project streams on big projects, reporting into the IT Programme Manager where required.
  • Capture meeting minutes and distribute to team members and file for auditing purposes.
  • Manage small/medium IT projects with the appetite to grow towards managing bigger projects.
  • Assist with auditing project documentation compliance where required.
Compile project performance reports.

Formal Education

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification. NQF Level
  • Appropriate project management qualification. (PMP, or registration for PMP exam would be an advantage).

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Management.
  • Experience in complying with standards and procedures and maintaining them.
