In this role, you will be responsible as the main internal underwriter for an insurance mutual group. Reporting into and working in close partnership with the Client Relationship Management Manager.

We will count on you to:
Renewal Process

  • Coordinating the entire renewal process, from information collection to compiling placement information.
  • Setting up collection system (Riskkonect) to reflect all information required by underwriters.
  • Managing and following up of individual participants in the renewal information collection process.
  • Coordinate the collection of all other underwriting information, including NCDs, etc. before and after renewal.
  • Attend, prepare and assist in arranging all internal strategy meetings with various teams.
  • Calculation and allocation of, but not limited to, premiums for assets, motor and GPA lines of business.
  • Consolidation of renewal terms and distribution thereof to Client Executive (CEs)
  • Obtaining mandate from CEs and laying off cover with Insurers
  • Making sure insurer codes are loaded /updated for the renewal
  • Coordinate all invoicing throughout the year.
  • Credit control for group and individual universities
  • Arranging for raising of burner premiums or any additional premiums where due
  • Checking of Master policies issuance regarding alignment to intention.
  • Distribution of individual policy documents and wordings post renewal and handling of endorsements
  • Handling of declaration adjustments on policies where applicable
Aggregate policy

  • Coordinating aggregate administration with MARSH Risk Finance from a broking perspective.
Claims

  • Attend claims meetings as and when required
  • Checking on claims notifications and as and when it is done
  • Assist in handling complex claims or repudiations.
Day to day

  • Response to daytoday queries from CEs and referring to insurers where required
  • Handling all communication, coordination and instructions to CEs
  • Tracking additions clause amounts on Assets All Risks policy
  • Handling of impairment queries and/or notices between CEs and insurers
  • Handling and coordinating risk requirements imposed by insurers.
  • Coordinating any other Insurer Assessments or Requirements with CEs
Executive Committee/AGM

  • Prepare, arrange, and assist for all executive committee meetings and AGMs.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum of 710 years demonstrable working experience with adequate insurance knowledge
  • Solid experience in corporate shortterm insurance, commercial lines
  • Solid knowledge of mutual and risk finance structures
  • Good computer literacy with advanced excel skills
  • Regulatory Exam (RE) certificate
