Junior Claims Administrator to join our team.


The Junior Claims Administrator reports directly to the Head of the department and will be based at our office in Pretoria.


Duties and Responsibilities (include but is not limited to):

  • The JCT will be handling claims within a mandate as allocated to the technician by
  • Management and within any binder regulations any claim outside the allocated mandate must be signed off by claims management or supervisor.
  • Responsible for handling of all windscreen & vehicle
- and building glass claims on all policies for all
- applicable insurers-both commercial - as well as domestic policies, as well as any fast-track allocated claim such as all risks, Business all risks, and/or any other fast track claim that will fall within this fast-track claim description.

  • Receiving notification of new claims and registration of new claims on relevant systems. Responsible to validate the claim and validate cover, premiums and requesting outstanding documents.
  • To follow department process and obtain quotations as per procedures in place.
  • Liaising / communication on regular basis with clients and/or brokers on outstanding documents/info on claims, including regular progress updates on claims.
  • Diarizing claims for followup with suppliers on quotes, and client/brokers on outstanding documents.
  • Receiving of outstanding documents and quotes on relevant claimsworking through documents and in accordance with allowed mandates as authorized by management.
  • Authorization of repairs / replacements and changing of claims status on system to authorized.
  • Receiving of all relevant invoices from service providers.
  • Validate invoices before requesting payments on all invoices as per standard payment procedures.
  • Uploading of all documents on system.
  • Regular update of all relevant and applicable systems notes on claims.
  • Regular update of claim estimates, and make sure estimates are always loaded correctly on system, and per section/service provider applicable on claim.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to you and or required but within reason.

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  • 25 years' experience in the shortterm Insurance Industry
  • Strong Ms Office skills
  • Fully Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
  • Passion for the financial Industry
  • Excellent customer service skill
