Position Description & Responsibilities:Daily, weekly & monthly exception reports. Review and release of daily local and weekly foreign payments via the banking platform.Preparation and processing of ad hoc journals as and when required.Month End processes in the Finance Department.Inter Company confirmations with other company entities world-wide.Preparing & processing the monthly Consolidation Journals and running the Consolidation of the entities in the ERP system.Preparing the Monthly Management Accounts & Group Reporting Packages for both entities together with the Financial Manager: Controlling.Do VAT calculations, reconciliations, and submission to tax authorities.Weekly reporting on Cash Analytics tool and Monthly Cash Flow ForecastMonthly Stock forecasts, reporting on Working Capital to Germany, including action plans when needed.Monthly review of the creditor's reconciliations, foreign and Local, and weekly freight recons and ensuring resolution of queries.Monthly Reporting to Head office on Overdue Debtors and following up on collections of overdue accounts.Control over Fixed Asset Registers and ensuring it balances with the General Ledger.Compile Capex requests when needed.Managing of Leased Assets (IFRS Accounting, journals, etc.)Maintaining Low Value Asset Register.Assisting the Financial Manager: Controlling with the Budget process annually & compile the Annual Balance Sheet Budgets.Assistance with Forecasting models from time to time.Handling of Dividend payments, including Dividend Tax submissionsCompiling supplementary financial reports as required by management, or other stakeholders.Preparation of the audit file and the associated supporting documentation required by the auditors annually, together with the financial manager.Reviewing and finalizing the annual Financial Statements together with the audit team and the Financial Manager: Controlling.Handling all secretarial functions for both companies.Applying consistent financial standards and policies in the company & Transport Equipment in terms of IFRS. Guiding and assisting the rest of the finance team in terms of IFRS requirements.Developing and implementing procedures where needed.Preparing and submitting Board Approval Requests when needed.Supporting the BBBEE strategy & verification process.Staff Management & Upskilling of the Finance Team when needed.Stock take responsibilitiesAny ad hoc functions as required by Management from time to time.
Position ObjectiveProviding support to the Directors, Production, Purchasing and Sales Teams of the company by supplying the correct information via daily, weekly and/or month reporting and ensuring that the exceptions highlighted by the reports are followed up and resolved.Providing support to the financial staff to ensure a more efficient work environment in the financial department.Overseeing the accounting function relevant to your responsibilities, ensuring that accounting records relating to these are kept appropriately and that reported results comply with accounting standards and relevant legislation.Providing general assistance to the Regional Manager Finance and Controlling.
