All jokes aside, we are looking for a Human Resource Manager who will be responsible for managing all HR operations and programs for the company, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and supporting the development and growth of our employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company's mission, values, and goals.
  • Work alongside our Talent Acquisition Specialist to Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to separation, and ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with department managers and the rest of the HR team to identify staffing needs, create job descriptions, and recruit and onboard new employees.
  • Support management with the design and implementation of performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Develop and deliver employee and management training programs aimed at raising awareness about policies and processes, enhancing skills, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting career development.
  • Manage payroll and employee benefits (medical aid, gap cover, and pension fund) and liaise with employee benefit service providers.
  • Coordinate employee relations activities, such as teambuilding events, employee recognition programs, employee wellness events, and initiatives to promote organisational culture.
  • Play a proactive role in promoting employee and workplace harmony through effective conflict prevention and resolution measures.
  • Advise on and facilitate grievance, disciplinary, incapacity, and operational requirements processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of all personnel information.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations to improve HR policies and practices.
  • Assist with drafting employment documentation (offer letters, increase letters, promotion letters, contracts of employment).

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field.
  • At least 5 years of generalist human resources experience including recruitment, employee relations, and organisational development.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a management role.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations, and experience ensuring compliance in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and other HR technology tools.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR policies and programs that support employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and talent development.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
