Position summary

Please note:

This is an intermediate role, suitable for someone with 2 years' work experience in an administration or due diligence role relating to compliance._

Responsibilities
In this role, the Compliance Consultant will be responsible to deliver on the following:

  • An outsourced compliance function to client financial service providers in terms of service level agreements.
  • Fulfils functions required in terms of FAIS legislations through templatebased monitoring and reporting to the financial services providers and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
  • Establishes and embeds compliance culture across the panel of financial service providers and provides a compliance risk framework.
  • File and update internal records and registers
  • Conducting of quality control audits
  • Assist with the maintenance, updating and capture of data & generate reports at required intervals
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated reports
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations on consolidated report findings
  • Provide administrative support in the management of data banks and reporting systems
  • General administrative compliance duties, such as, filing, record maintenance and assisting with other functions on an adhoc basis.

Qualifications and skills
We would like the new incumbent to possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Tertiary Qualification
  • BCom Law, LLB or similar Law qualification advantageous.

  • Computer Literacy
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Work experience in a due diligence or administrative capacity related to compliance will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry will be an advantage.
