Medical Aid rate based on principal member only)- To be confirmed- Advert Closing Date- 25/8/2023- Job PurposeThe purpose of the job is to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels according to set syllabus, to contribute academic leadership in the Department and to facilitate curriculum design and implementation, and assessment in a variety of programmes and contexts.

  • Job Knowledge, Skills and Experiencea) A Master's degree in Information Systems
b) Minimum of two (2) years' work experience

Recommended
An underpinning Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Information Technology

  • Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
    Teaching:
a) Teach a cognate area in Information Systems or Information Technology.
b) To be able to teach large classes and have strong technical systems development skills (e.g. HTML5, XML, C# and )
c) Promote scholarship of teaching and learning
d) Participate in curriculum design and implementation in the department and faculty

Research:

a) Undertake relevant research, ideally in the department's research focus areas such as ICT and development, mobile technologies, green IS, IS education, management of IS and system development.
b) Contribute to departmental research vision and strategy

Administration:

a) Develop, implement, and review undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Department
b) Contribute collegially to the work of the department, faculty, and the university through active participation in academic activities, committees, and management.
c) Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department

e) Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
f) Proficiency in using MS Office 365 with Excel and Power-point
g) Proficiency in teaching software development and process modelling into Cyber-physical

h) Ability to work in a team with well-developed interpersonal skills
i) Demonstrate professionalism and quality orientated work ethics
j) Plan, coordinate and supervise academic activities related to theory and clinical practice
k) Ability to use online technology in interaction with students and staff
l) Qualitative and Quantitative research competencies
