Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Marketing, promoting, selling and upselling full range of business services
  • Assisting with menu selection based on clients requests and requirements as well as number of pax
  • Sending out quotations to clients, follow up and secure bookings
  • Drawing up function sheet for client and operational team, noting the necessary information including number of pax, timing, menu and bar selection
  • Ensure that proforma invoice is generated prior to event and that deposit / payment is received timeously
  • Ensure that all function sheets / contracts are signed off by clients prior to events
  • Ensure that the operation team are advised of the event and the function sheet is sent through to the operational team
  • Follow up with client 48 hours prior to event / catering and reconfirm all details as per agreed function, make amendments as required and update operational team
  • Assist the Executive Chef with typing of menus
  • General administration / filing and management of documentation in the office.
  • Any other adhoc duties as required daily
  • Maintain excellent client relationships to ensure return and repeat business

Qualifications:

  • Matric coupled with event and / or F&B certificate and / or diploma
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Fully computer literate MS Office Suite and Pastel
  • Valid drivers License
  • 4 years experience in a similar role
