Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving excellence in accounts payable operations? We are seeking a highly skilled Creditors Team Leader to oversee our accounts payable cycle and lead our dedicated team of creditors' clerks.


Role Overview:

As the Creditors Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable cycle through the supervision of the creditor's team.

Your primary focus will be to ensure efficient settlement of accounts per Standard Operating Practices while maintaining accurate records and strong controls.

Additionally, you will engage with Senior Management via presentations and meetings to provide regular feedback on payments and financial liabilities to creditors.


  • Lead and motivate a team of creditors' clerks to ensure efficient operations of the accounts payable cycle.
  • Ensure accuracy and precision in processing invoices, payment runs, and reconciliations to prevent errors and duplication.
  • Liaise with senior management, finance teams, and service providers, providing regular updates and feedback.
  • Resolve queries and discrepancies promptly, independently and by coordinating with relevant teams or stakeholders.
  • Manage daily tasks, prioritize workload, and adhere to deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., Evolution) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Train, coach, and mentor creditors' clerks to ensure adherence to standard operating practices and continuous improvement in processes.
  • Handle telephone queries and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls, maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with other departments to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
  • Adapt to changing priorities, business requirements, and technological advancements in the field of accounts payable.
  • Efficiently manage time and resources to meet daily responsibilities and address tasks within service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain accurate records, including saving reconciliations, age analyses, and statements in electronic filing systems.
