About The Role


The main purpose of the role is to provide clients with financial due diligence services which includes buy-side due diligence, sell-side due diligence, vendor assist services and exit readiness reviews.

This will also entail managing and providing on the job coaching to junior staff.

What You'll Do

  • Analysis and modelling of financial performance (past and future) of an acquisition target including
  • Performing financial reviews of target companies' profitability, liquidity and solvency
  • Analysing and reviewing historical performance against budget and investigating reasons for variations
  • The preparation of financial due diligence reports
  • Overall responsibility for delivery of smaller projects (direct with Partner / Director) or responsibility for standalone divisions / sections of FDD on larger projects (this will include buy or sell side, refinancing and equity raising transactions)
  • Due diligence team management and coordination (including dealing with client, target management, on the job coaching, review of junior work etc.)
  • Direct communication with the clients on key issues relating to your sections
  • Direct communication and liaisons with M&A bankers and clients on appropriate presentation and business valuation of target opportunities, in line with diligence findings
  • Supervision and mentoring of Consultants and taking full responsibility for review of their analysis / sections and being accountable for their output
  • Identification of key value drivers, SPA price adjustments, and deal breakers
  • Business development including identification and valuation of target opportunities and preparation of pitch documents
  • Effective communication with senior members of the team and clients
  • Proactive development of internal and external relationships

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2 years of M&A, transactions or valuations experience
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or working towards certification

Preferred Skills:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or working towards certification
  • Previous experience at an Audit or Consulting firm
