Introduction


The Company is seeking the services of a Project Planner to take ownership of and maintain various large scale project schedules.


Duties & Responsibilities

Duties:

Manage and maintain project schedule by:

  • Involvement in planning and setting up of initial project schedule with project managers input.
  • Ensuring that internal planning processes and work instructions are followed on all assigned projects to allow for consistency and reporting.
  • Ensuring that all issues within the programme are highlighted and understood by the Project Manager and giving appropriate planning advice
  • Picking up schedule discrepancies and logic errors
  • Highlighting critical path and resource loading issues
  • Tracking of baseline vs actual progress on schedules
  • Weekly reporting to internal and external parties by means of schedule updates and progress reporting.
  • Liaising and explaining to subcontractors

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years in same or similar role planning on large scale construction and installation projects. In excess of R20 million ZAR

Primavera P6 and MS projects experience:

  • Understating of fabrication and installation projects
  • Management of a planning team
  • Previous cost management would be advantage but not required
