Neighbourgood, South Africa's leading co-living and co-working business, is looking for a dynamic and talented senior reservations specialist with excellent all round client and hospitality management skills to join our team.


The Senior reservations specialist would need to be able to efficiently delegate tasks to the team as well as ensure that workflows and processes are in place that guarantee consistency throughout our portfolio for all reservations as well as efficiency within the team to perform at a high level.

Relationship building with industry players such as agents and tour operators would also be imperative to ensuring high levels of revenue are maintained across the portfolio.

Weekend work will be required, typically one weekend a month with an additional remuneration.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing individual bookings to ensure that high levels of customer service are maintained across all bookings
  • Handle reservations leads timeously and in a courteous manner
  • Ensure that all reservations details are correctly captured on the system
  • Provide feedback to onsite staff on bookings, changeovers and special request.
  • Mange the guest experience and expectation.
  • First point of call for NBGD members. a Professional and friendly approach to be adhered at all times.
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service is maintained.
  • Review reservation booked daily & liaise with relevant Community Managers on customer bookings.
  • Ensure that response times on leads received and on all guest requests throughout the team are managed efficiently and in line with company policy.
  • Manage Company Rates with external travel partners and ensure that rates provided are correct,
  • Personally liaise with repeat, VIP guests and agents.
  • Review noshows and cancelled reservations, and, process charges according to company policy.
  • Manage guest review process and complaints and compliments register for senior management
  • Monitor all bookings to ensure that all payments are adhered to before checkin.
  • Ensure that the afterhours emergency number is managed professionally and efficiently.
  • Work, on a rotational basis, doing Saturday Bookings & Enquiries (offsite for weekends)
  • Secure potential new business (Both B2B and B2C) for the Neighbourgood STR operation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in Hospitality and short term rental experience


 Industry/related experience
  • Hotels and resorts or short term rental experience
  • Strong administrative skills
  • You will be able to demonstrate a high level of agility in a demanding environment and be able to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communications and time management skills will be considered fundamental together with a motivated and commercially astute approach.

Salary:
R16, R18,000.00 per month
