Kendrick Recruitment is currently recruiting a
Group Reservations Agent.

As a Reservationist, you will be at the forefront of facilitating the promotion, sales, and booking of the hotel's products and services.

This role requires excellent communication and customer service skills to ensure a seamless reservations process from start to end. If you have a positive attitude, great energy, and previous hospitality experience, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making reservations and preparing rate proposals.
  • Maintaining accurate records of guests' bookings, payments, and other relevant information.
  • Handling reservations calls in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • Upselling by informing guests of special packages or higher room categories.
  • Assisting in maintaining an efficient administration system.
  • Managing room blocks and group bookings of all sizes.
  • Seeking to resolve guest complaints and escalating issues as needed.
  • Communicating special instructions or facilities to other departments.
  • Quoting rates within authorized limits and familiarizing yourself with hotel offerings.
  • Assisting with guest correspondence and other outlet bookings.
  • Reporting rate discrepancies and overbookings to the Reservations Manager.
  • Ensuring optimal utilization of the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Sending invoices, following up on payments, and accurately posting payments against bookings.
  • Updating internal worksheets and managing guest feedback.
  • Managing OTA extranets and attending training sessions as required.
  • Working in compliance with quality assurance standards and departmental SOPs.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hospitality is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive and friendly attitude with great energy.
  • Proficiency in Opera is essential.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fastpaced environment.
