FACULTY HEAD:
ETD (EDUCATION, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT)

Inherent requirements:

  • National Diploma: Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices, NQF Level
  • A postgraduate qualification in education is a distinct advantage
  • 3 to 5 years senior management experience with multiple task responsibilities including budgeting, people management, customer service, planning, organising, and controlling
  • Valid assessor and moderator scope with relevant SETA (essential)
  • Experience in distance and online learning and the use of Moodle LMS (Learner Management System) or similar
  • Relevant, up to date workplace experience in the Education, Training and Development sector
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Computer literate (MS Office)

Preferred requirements and skills:

  • Project management experience
  • Working knowledge of skills development, learnerships, reporting requirements, and education legislation and policy
  • Programme development and teaching and learning in area of expertise

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered ontime, within scope and within budget
  • Controlling functional area budgets with the functional heads, ensuring plans are achieved on time and at desired level of quality
  • Ensuring staff are on track and skilled to perform the jobs they are required to do
  • Programme development and quality assurance in Higher Education and occupations
  • Teaching and learning responsibilities including teaching, assessment, lecturing and materials development
  • Ongoing administration related to teaching and learning activities
