Hotel in Umhlanga is looking for a F&B Cost Control Manager to determine and maintain costs, adhering to strict budgets and ways of increasing company profits.
- Produce accurate trading summaries for the Financial Controller and Executive Chef
- Provide analytical review of monthly reports
- Reporting: Profit estimate, projected vs actual, purchasing analysis, menu engineering, timely variance reports
- Oversee daily Food and Beverage operational needs and cost related activities.
- Required to establish relations with suppliers and utilize price negotiation skills.
Requirements:
- Matriculation certificate (or equivalent)
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance
- 35 years' experience in the same/similar role
- Hotel experience an advantage.
- Must be well spoken and possess excellent people, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Understand and have a good working knowledge of Opera, Micros, F&B shop or similar cost control software.
- Have a thorough knowledge of procurement policies, stock control procedures, recipe costing and stock auditing procedures.
- Able to work shifts.
