KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate the water truck and other equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
  • Proper machine start up, operation and shutdown knowledge.
  • Operate the water tanker safely and efficiently.
  • Fill truck tank with water.
  • Distribute water to specified areas.
  • Monitor Vehicle performance, fluid levels and mechanical fitness.
  • Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required. Must comply with the principles of the company's code of ethics.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Out of town travel required.
  • Use of personal protection equipment is required.
  • Willing to work weekends.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have minimum 3 years driving experience in the construction industry of which 2 years operating a water tanker truck.
  • A valid code 14 drivers licence with valid PDP
  • Grade 11 and above will be an added advantage.

Salary:
From R51.24 per hour

Experience:

  • Driving: 5 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CDL A (preferred)

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Germiston, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
