Mission

  • Great understanding of different products being distributed
  • Oversee the standard processes to ensure appropriate presentation of stock
  • Collaborate with the warehouse to ensure consistent balance of stock and maintenance
  • Improving the continuity of supply chain
  • Designing, creating, and managing of SOP's for the warehouse to monitor the processes
  • Conduct assessment of supply chain to identify risks and develop solutions useful in minimizing losses
  • Providing regular training on stock processes or systems
  • Assisting operations with all warehouse related projects
  • Assist auditors with stock requirements (financial yearend)

Outcomes

  • Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards
  • Develop inventory control models that promote lower cost of sales, shorter lead times, and reduced stock levels
  • Regulation of instock level are in line with inventory
  • Controlling of SOP's

Responsibilities (Daily,Weekly,Monthly)

Daily

  • Assist with all reverse logistics across clients (mainly credit and refunds)
  • Advise on product Information


 Attend to queries
  • Stock; vouchers and repairs
  • Support the entire business with stockrelated queries.
  • Process stock into the system (returns from customers)
- : Credit notes received from suppliers
- : Stock sent back to suppliers

  • Provide pricing on redundant stock
  • Micro management of
  • Returns
  • Physical movement of sealed/open stock between warehouse locations

Weekly

  • Monitor the weekly GRV's (Reverse duplicates)
  • Weekly meetings with the Stock Control Manager.

Monthly

  • Preparing for stocktake (Variance checks and Precounts)
  • Monthly Inventory & Stock Taking (managing the actual stock take on the last working day of the month).
  • Investigate, resolve stock variances and report back to management

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric
  • A diploma/ Degree in relevant field or equivalent is advantageous
  • Mid-Level experience with microsoft package (Excel, Word & G Suite)
  • 35 years proven work experience as a stock controller/ Stock Administrator (or similar role)
  • Understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and inventory management
