Description

This exciting opportunity is available within the Central Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Office for someone passionate about AML and Compliance. The role focuses on responsibilities outlined in the Financial Intelligence Centre Act No 38 of 2001.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior AML Compliance Officers to establish compliance culture across Old Mutual South Africa (OMSA).
  • Develop and implement compliance risk management plans specific to AML for OMSA.
  • Implement effective actions for key AML risks identified.
  • Monitor various AML compliance aspects including cash transactions, suspicious activities, and screening processes.
  • Collate information across OMSA for AML compliance program.
  • Engage stakeholders on identified risks and ensure effective remediation.
  • Ensure timely reporting on AML regulatory requirements and risks.
  • Address queries promptly and manage the AML Mailbox.
  • Maintain AML Office registers and assist in AML Training.
  • Update legislative changes onto CURA.

Qualifications

  • Matric/ Grade 12
  • Degree in Compliance, Legal, Commerce and/or Risk Management
  • Certificate in Anti Money Laundering and Compliance Management (advantageous)

Experience

  • Good knowledge of essential legislations.
  • 3-5 years' experience in compliance and/or AML within the financial industry.
