Job Purpose:


To represent the company as a highly professional and effective Sales Consultant, selling into existing accounts and prospective accounts in designated areas.

The successful applicant will be required to deliver a well-managed, profitable business through highly skilled sales excellence practices.

Job duties and responsibilities:
Acquisition of new accounts and delivery of revenue and profits in line with the agreed targets;
Developing additional revenue opportunities from prospecting and existing accounts where applicable;
Developing and maintaining an active and accurate pipeline of opportunities using internal systems and procedures;
Account development, maintaining account plans, cold-calling, premises visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission and managing meetings with customers/prospects;
Comprehensive understanding of WM services, solutions, and services.

Knowledge, skills, and experience:
2+ years of sales experience;
Strong communication skills and proficiency in managing the sales lifecycle, prospecting, cold calling, and closing deals;
Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction;
Strong business acumen with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple regional locations;
Leadership and people management capability through effective communication;
Ability to work effectively in a customer driven deadline environment;
Ability to work alone and in a team

Field Sales Consultant - Food Services

Office Base:
Boksburg / Vosloorus

Client area base:
Johannesburg & surrounding

Working days/hours:
Monday to Friday (07h45 to 16h45)

Remuneration:
R R 7000 (Activity based basic / and cellphone allowance) + Commission which is earned from first deal.

Position role:

  • Generating leads
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Negotiating all contracts 6 with prospective clients
  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions and negotiations
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports
  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients
  • Upselling to existing client base
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products & services
  • Answering client questions about products, prices & availability

Position job spec:

  • Create, optimize, and evolve customer service offering to keep clients happy
  • Identify sales opportunities while servicing customers telephonically
  • Work with customers based in a defined geographic territory
  • Understand customer profiles, and the category of the customer
  • Work closely with various departments to develop objectives
  • Identify areas of customer improvement
  • Utilize CRM (Sage and Bluwave) to deliver customer satisfaction
  • Influence and improve results
  • Explain products and services in detail.
  • Understand customer issues about orders or payment information
  • Follow up to customer correspondence
  • Strong communication between department objectives and customers
  • Follow up on orders
  • Ensure pricing is correct upon invoicing
  • Resolve all discrepancies
  • Improve product knowledge and sales techniques
