Purpose of the Role


The purpose of the Internal Assurance Analyst is to be a key member of the independent Assurance function performing internal audit fieldwork and reports as required to ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations and minimize any risks to the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhoc reviews of various areas of the business including:
  • Network-wide website and mobile app regulatory content and functionality checks upon new site launches
  • Staff and customer communications (Live Chat / Back Office / Ticketing Systems)
  • IP infringement reports
  • Overseeing reviews of identified risks
  • Provide assurance that there is an effective system of risk management and overall compliance across the business in relation to WHG's Policies and Procedures
  • Documenting internal assurance activities and creating audit reports identifying any issues with owners and remediation action and following up to ensure resolution
  • Preparing and reviewing IA Policies and Procedures for other Departments and identifying any issues, and making recommendations for improvement
  • Attending and minuting liaison meetings with various other Departments
  • Gathering information and data required ahead of jurisdictional or scheduled audits
  • Involvement in creating IA Plans for each new quarter
  • Creating training materials
  • Undertaking daily tasks
  • Comply with reasonable requests from line manager; and
  • Such other duties reasonably assigned from time to time
  • Prior experience in gaming or similar regulated industry with experience in an assurance, compliance or audit role a significant advantage
  • Selfmotivation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise allocated work
  • Ability to work as part of a small global team
  • Understanding of the relevant regulatory license and reporting conditions
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong business English (both written and spoken) communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail including approved document formatting
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • High levels of integrity and accountability
