Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:

Accurate estimates / quotes to clients

You will be dealing with both airfreight and ocean freight imports and exports.

Obtaining updates from shipping lines, overseas agents and suppliers in a timely manner

Clients service support i.e. updating clients with ETA's, cargo readiness and expected delivery dates.

Comfortable to work with the various shipping lines and co-loaders.

Invoicing customers along with suppliers

Working with different rates of exchanges and mathematical calculations

Liaising with various customs and governmental departments such as State Vet, Port Health etc.

Manage multiple collection and deliveries and be focused on quick turnaround times.


Be able to work hours which relate to the job at hand and complete their daily tasks within the day.


Minimum 3 years' medium level of business experience in multiple facets of the logistics chain with specific expertise in all aspects of accounts and administrative duties.

Customs system knowledge (advantageous)

Pastel knowledge (advantageous)

Accounts Experience (advantageous)

Provide feedback daily to the Companies other branches and management

Valid driver's license and own transport

Computer literate - be proficient in word, excel and PDF documents as well as Pastel.

Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communications.

Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant.

A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation

Hard working, resourceful, ambitious and have excellent business acumen.

Be clinical, thorough, accurate and take a pride in their work.

Have a strong understanding of customs procedures and acts.

Attend and participate in continuing educational programs, company functions and customer functions.

Assisting in quality checks weekly, as well as monthly

Carrying out background research and presenting findings

Collecting KPA's and Reports daily/weekly/monthly from sales, accounts, ops and analysing

Support the Financial Manager and Manager Director to manage workload and activities

Liaise with and support team members' business-related travel arrangements

Schedule team meetings, prepare agenda and draft minutes

Manage company social media daily/weekly/monthly

Manage fuel and maintenance reporting monthly

Handle requests and queries appropriately

Source office suppliers, stationary, telephone, photocopying, IT etc

Traffic fine management

Responsible for IT accounts and Service providers

Petty Cash management

Liaising with the office of origin/destination right through to the delivery at the client.

Dangerous goods courses (advantageous)


Be willing to work extra hours as part of training and to build knowledge of the company and its ways of working.

Must be able to handle pressure.

Be energetic and full of beans and have a good sense of humour

Be focused and task orientated.

Be prepared to more than just what is asked and go above and beyond.

Be able to work at speed and juggle many things at once.
