Quality Assurance Lead

As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of QA analysts and testers who are responsible for testing the products developed by the company. In this role, you will be required to work closely with the development team to ensure that the products meet the quality standards set by the company. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining test plans and schedules.

Requirements:

  • Relevant automation testing experience
  • QA Lead experience
  • Agile concepts and development
  • Good working knowledge of front-end and API automation as well as Performance Testing (NFT)
  • Selenium/Appium/Healenium, Rest Assured, JMeter, IntelliJ IDEA, Java, Spring Boot
  • Industry-related qualifications
  • SAP ERP and SAP Hana (preferred)

Typical Activities Include:

  • Manage a Testing squad as per the agreed Quality Assurance principles and standards.
  • Ensure alignment across Business Analysis, Development, and Quality Assurance, to optimize the testing efficiencies across the Product delivery stack.
  • Use the automation framework and pre-defined test tools to inspect, analyse, design, develop, and implement re-usable automated test assets to quality assure the solution, and its architecture.
  • Liaise with relevant business stakeholders.
  • Deliver automated testing solutions and quality practices within agreed timelines and agreed risk parameters.
  • Participate in the overall PI planning and squad deliverables including capacity estimation and interdependencies.
  • Create the test strategy, approach, or plan and ensure alignment with the squad objectives.
  • Ensure all committed user stories and acceptance criteria are tested for the specific release.
  • Ensure integration into and continuous test automation execution on DevOps pipelines.
  • Mentor the Engineers within the team to improve their technical capabilities.
  • Provide input into the documentation of standards and quality practices for quality engineering for the organisation's current and future technological architecture.
  • Provide input into the performance management of team members.

Type: 12-month contract (high likelihood of renewal)

Location: Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng (hybrid – 2 days in-office)
