PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The HR Officer will be assisting with all daily HR operations in implementing, managing, directing and coordinating the HR function in collaboration with the rest of the People Solutions Team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Partner: Forming and maintaining critical key relationships in the business to define and
implement relevant and appropriate HR initiatives

  • Talent Management / Recruitment: Assist and ensure the implementation of the Employment
Equity plan by ensuring key talent is identified and recruited for (Including graduate recruitment)

  • Reporting and Compliance: Assist the People Solutions Team in HR reporting and analytics and
to ensure legal compliance within the business with regards to statutory reporting

  • Policies and Procedures: Formulate, recommend, review and communicate HR policies,
procedures, legislative requirements and objectives for the company with regards to employee

relations.

  • Industrial Relations: Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and
investigations.

  • Training and Development: Understanding the basic concepts of training and development, i.e,
SETA, Learnerships, Grad Programmes etc

  • POPIA: Assist with all POPIA matters (i.
e, system work / data capturing)

  • Ad Hoc: Assist in all ad hoc queries & administrative duties

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

  • A relevant HRM degree or equivalent
  • Registered psychometrist (accredited in SHL) will be advantageous
Years HR Generalist experience in the full HR value chain

  • Previous experience within the retail industry will be advantageous
  • Experience with developing and implementing EE Plans as well as the submission thereof
  • Understanding of BBBEE framework and submission requirements
  • Good communication skills
  • Broadbased general knowledge of HR, relevant legislation, and HR best practice
  • Full recruitment experience
  • Proficient with G-Suite advantageous and general computer literacy
  • Key Competencies: Adhering to Principles and Values; Working with People; Relating and
Networking; Presenting and Communicating; Writing and Reporting; Learning and Researching;
Delivering and meeting expectations; Planning and Organising; Coping with Pressure; Adapting and Responding to Change
