The Group Finance Manager plays a crucial role in the company, overseeing all finance functions across the group. This involves internal and external reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. The Group Finance Manager ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and provides financial planning and analysis to aid strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with a solid finance management background and proven leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
    • Supervise day-to-day financial operations of the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
    • Establish financial policies, procedures, and controls for efficient financial management.
  2. Internal Reporting:
    • Create and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the executive team and board.
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis for business insights and strategic decisions.
    • Manage internal audit processes and ensure adherence to controls.
  3. External Reporting:
    • Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial statements and regulatory filings.
    • Work with external auditors for annual audits and compliance with standards.
    • Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure group-wide compliance.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads for strategic budgets.
    • Prepare financial forecasts, analyze risks, and monitor budget variances.
  5. Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage cash flow planning for operational needs and strategic initiatives.
    • Optimize working capital through effective receivables and payables management.
    • Develop capital allocation strategies to support growth.
  6. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering continuous improvement.
    • Set performance goals and provide feedback for professional growth.
    • Promote collaboration within the team and other departments.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (SA) with 2-5 years of experience.
  • Certification: Mandatory Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in finance, including 3-5 years in a management role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong accounting knowledge and familiarity with IFRS/GAAP.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
    • High integrity, dependability, and results-oriented.
