The Opportunity

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Group Finance Executive and business leadership team in achieving financial and operational strategic objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Group budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring timely and informed deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Division Financial Directors to analyse financial trends and present actionable insights.
  • Develop sophisticated DCF models to support strategic business decisions.
  • Implement reporting dashboards to effectively track KPIs.
  • Optimise financial processes and controls to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
  • Manage the Finance Performance team and facilitate skill development.
  • Contribute to company strategy development and decision-making.
  • Oversee accounting and taxation functions for Oceana Group Limited, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to management.
Qualifications
  • BCom in Accounting or equivalent (mandatory)
  • CA (SA) qualification preferred.
  • 6 years post-articles or 8 years post-BCom experience, ideally in a Corporate/Holding Company Environment
  • Minimum 5 years of team management experience in finance
  • Advanced technical accounting and tax knowledge
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP/OneStream systems advantageous
  • Strong business acumen
