We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced person who will be accountable for the daily operations of Our Local.

As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring exceptional customer service and maximizing profitability and trade opportunities.


A summary of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to established policies, systems and procedures (implement new where necessary)
  • Staff supervision and training
  • Monitor and ensure exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction (this include electronic correspondence)
  • Liaise with GM about expenses to maximize profitability
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, ensure optimal pricing and availability from suppliers
  • Collaborate with the bar and kitchen teams to develop and update menus

Requirements:

  • The applicant should have at least three years of senior experience in this field
  • Good knowledge of duties and procedures in a restaurant environment
  • Computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel, Google docs)
  • Knowledge of Lightspeed software
  • Experience in large restaurants is beneficial but not necessary
  • Postmatric hospitality / business / administration qualifications is beneficial but not necessary
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Sufficient timemanagement skills
