The SAGE X3 Business Process Specialist is responsible to provide technical assistance to SAGE users with respect to the operation of the SAGE X3 ERP system.


REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Sage X3 Technical Consultant Certification
  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma or studying towards one advantageous

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 3 years' experience as Sage X3 Technical Consultant

  • Experience in translating business requirements into solution specifications
  • Solid understanding of financial and manufacturing environments

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Facilitate and where applicable execute analysis of business requirements, identifying and proposing to business the most appropriate solutions according to best practice and software standards as defined by AFGRI IT.
  • Continuously identify, track and report cost reduction initiatives as input to quarterly reporting.
  • Ensure Legal Compliance with all relevant legislation and identify potential risks in all applicable working environments and report to the appropriate forum.
  • Provide indepth technical knowledge regarding the processes in X3 and assist with the resolution of business queries and develops new functionality and reports as required.
  • Implement full system audit and security as required and make recommendations and changes to the system configuration as required.
  • Provide enduser training and compile training documents is as required.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties assigned, troubleshooting, and assisting with system upgrades.
  • Consult on all aspects with regards to the implementation (scoping, guidelines, requirement, data handling, roll out and support).
  • Manage users' requirements and expectations as well as to provide analytical and insightful recommendations to the group, users, and IT team.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES

  • Experience working in an ERP Sage X3 environment
  • Knowledge of new technologies (in relevant field) and maintaining and staying abreast of updates and changes and making the appropriate recommendations
  • Experience in MS Office 365 skills
  • Indepth knowledge of Sage X3 modules particularly financial, manufacturing or distribution, Purchasing
  • Indepth knowledge of Sage X3 architecture & database structure
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and data
