Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Manage the pass
  • Order effectively
  • Design menus
  • No cooking involved other than when preparing tastings for management, or designing new menu items
  • Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
  • Maintaining adequate inventory levels and conducting weekly inventories
  • Supervise food prep and cooking
  • Check food plating and temperature
  • Establish portion sizes
  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts
  • Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
  • Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Supervising food preparation in the kitchen and ensuring that customers are satisfied
  • Overseeing the training of employees to ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment and utensils and the proper handling of heavy items and hazardous materials.

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Must have creativity and passion for food.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Own transport essential

Salary:

Negotiable depending on experience

Trial period of 1 month will be applicable before permanent appointment, thereafter a

probation period of 3 months
