Junior Account Executive – Cape Town – Salary negotiable dependent on experience

Overview:


Our client, a leading company in shopping centre marketing, is looking for a Junior Account Executive to join their team.

Strong interpersonal, organizational and writing skills are important.

Responsibilities:

  • Client communication: Assisting in communicating with the client, responding to inquiries, and providing updates on project progress.
  • Project coordination: Helping to coordinate projects between internal teams and the client, ensuring that deadlines are met, and deliverables are of high quality.
  • Research and analysis: Conducting market research, gathering data on the industry relevant to the company and analyzing competitor activity to provide insights for client strategies.
  • Administrative tasks: Assisting in maintaining client files, managing schedules, organizing meetings, and handling paperwork related to client accounts.
  • Relationship building: Participating in building and maintaining relationships with the client, vendors, and other stakeholders through regular communication and networking efforts.
  • Creative input: Offering creative ideas and solutions to meet client objectives and enhance the client's brand presence.
  • Reporting: Assisting in preparing reports and presentations to update the client on campaign performance, analytics, and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements (a must):

  • Proof of a Marketing or Public Relations Certificate or Degree
  • Fully bilingual – English & Afrikaans in writing, reading and speaking
  • Minimum one year's marketing/PR experience
  • Event management and co-ordination experience
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, disciplined with excellent organizational skills
  • Accountable and responsible
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Good planning ability
  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task & plan independently
  • Good interpersonal skills (team player) within the agency and with client interaction
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in Shopping Centre marketing advantageous
  • May be required to work some weekends and Public Holidays
  • Own car and valid driver's license
