Requirements:

  • Min 58 years' experience in Municipal Civil Infrastructure
  • Professional registration with the Engineering Council of
South Africa (ECSA) will be advantageous

Key Performance Areas

  • Performs the full range of engineering activities within a municipal
civil engineering environment e.g. feasibility, concept and

preliminary designs, documentation and procurement, contract

administration and inspections.

  • Development & Infrastructure: Undertakes and coordinates
infrastructure master planning within a region.

  • Development,

Facilitation Functions:
Responsible for the

development facilitation function and ensuring that municipal

infrastructure meets the required municipal standards.

  • Implementing Infrastructure: Responsible for capital expansion
and replacement projects.

  • Customer Services: Responsible for operational monitoring and
network optimisation to assist depot operations in minimising

outages.

  • Financial Administration: Responsible to manage project
expenditure in accordance with the MFMA and City Directives.

  • Staff Management: Managing and monitoring staff
performance to ensure optimum service delivery

  • Communication: Manage effective communication between
internal and external stakeholders, e.g. customers, Councillors,

developers, consultants, etc.
