About the role

Requirements:

We are looking for people who have previous experience in Sales and familiarity with Fire Systems. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Exposure to, or familiarity with, Fire systems
  • Bachelor Degree or HND in engineering, information technology, technical or business from a reputable institution
years' experience in sales especially in managing opportunities using a formal sales process. Demonstrated strong understanding of channel business strategies and solution selling in business to business environments.

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Excellent writing, communication & presentation skills
  • Forecasting Accuracy
  • Technical background combined with strong influencing skills
  • Good communication and networking skills
  • Proven track records in sales
  • Ability to build own credibility and develop effective relationships at all levels
  • Curious, committed, good team worker with unyielding integrity
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work with competing demands in small multidiscipline teams
  • Must be South African Citizen
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Expertise in Fire Systems will be a distinct advantage

As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Search, stabilize and maintain new and long-term relationships
  • Develop and maintain close customer relationship through programmes of regular scheduled contacts and visits
  • Negotiate prices within the established procedure to ensure profitable sales orders
  • Assist in planning and developing short and longterm sales and marketing strategy within territory to achieve given turnover targets
  • Analyse customer and market needs as well as competitors' products and sales strategies, reporting promptly new developments to management
  • Maintain control over selling expense limits imposed by company guidelines
  • Participate at trade shows and organise seminars and product promotions
  • Facilitate specific and regular customer product training to ensure proper understanding of Carrier F&S equipment
  • Maintain accurate, uptodate records of daily activities and result
  • Develop and maintain liaisons with national account local branch offices.
  • Offer marketing and product management suggestions for product development to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain contact with local authorities and approval agencies such as architects gets Carrier F&S products specified.
