The Pharmacy Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products by implementing and maintaining quality assurance systems, processes, and procedures.

This role involves monitoring and evaluating the production process, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the production process to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular audits of the facility, processes, and documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address and resolve qualityrelated issues.
  • Review and approve validation protocols, reports, and change controls.
  • Investigate and analyse customer complaints and nonconformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement of the quality assurance program.
  • Prepare and present quality assurance reports and metrics to management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 35 years of experience in quality assurance within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in CAMS
    (Complementary and alternative medicine) within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Proficient in the use of quality management software and tools.
