Key responsibilities:

  • New business development
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of the company's concrete products
  • Providing accurate product information, pricing, and delivery schedules to customers, and negotiating sales contracts and terms
  • Collaborating with internal teams, such as production, logistics, and customer service, to coordinate order fulfilment and resolve customer inquiries or issues
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth and product development
  • Developing sales strategies and action plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share in assigned territories or market segments
  • Attending trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote the company's brand and expand its customer base
  • Preparing sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to track performance and support decisionmaking by management
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and ethical standards, in all sales activities

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 3years experience in sales in the construction industry or building materials sector
  • Knowledge of concrete products, construction methods, and building codes/regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Computer Skills (MS Excel)
  • Valid drivers licence and own vehicle
