Responsibilities:

  • Opening and maintaining client files
  • Ensuring all relevant documentation is on file
  • Capturing financial transactions on Pastel
  • Attending to the collection of incomes on trust matters, reinvestment and matured investments
  • Undertake client monthly allowance payments
  • Preparation of electronic banking and cheque requisitions
  • Administration of correspondence that arises regarding trust matters
  • Attending to Financial accounts of Trust matters on a quarterly basis
  • Preparing liquidation and distribution accounts and paying all capital to beneficiaries
  • Preparing annual accounts for each trust and sending copies to relevant parties
  • Attending to the termination of trusts
  • Acquiring client tax returns
  • General filling and administration as required.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in secretarial work a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Exposure to the following would be advantageous:

AJS
Pastel
Lexis Pay

  • Knowledge of legal practices and terminology
  • Understanding of Wills, Trusts and deceased estates
  • Valid Drivers License
