Responsibilities:
- Opening and maintaining client files
- Ensuring all relevant documentation is on file
- Capturing financial transactions on Pastel
- Attending to the collection of incomes on trust matters, reinvestment and matured investments
- Undertake client monthly allowance payments
- Preparation of electronic banking and cheque requisitions
- Administration of correspondence that arises regarding trust matters
- Attending to Financial accounts of Trust matters on a quarterly basis
- Preparing liquidation and distribution accounts and paying all capital to beneficiaries
- Preparing annual accounts for each trust and sending copies to relevant parties
- Attending to the termination of trusts
- Acquiring client tax returns
- General filling and administration as required.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in secretarial work a minimum of 5 years experience
- Exposure to the following would be advantageous:
AJS
Pastel
Lexis Pay
- Knowledge of legal practices and terminology
- Understanding of Wills, Trusts and deceased estates
- Valid Drivers License
