SHOUT-IT-NOW uses innovative social behavior change approaches to effectively engage youth and create demand for our health and well-being services.

We offer a range of health services, currently focused on sexual and reproductive health, via a variety of convenient channels, primarily mobile vans.

We also aim to connect youth via referrals and linkages to a range of other health and well-being services, including behavioral and livelihoods programs that are offered through partners.

Custom technology enables SHOUT-IT-NOW to effectively use real-time data to generate insights and inform our program design—our youth engagement, communications and service delivery strategies—and to give youth easy access to programs offered by our ecosystem partners.

Shout It Now is seeking an
IT Director, based at our Regional Office in Centurion
, to provide management and strategic direction for the organization's technology initiatives aligning them to meet current and future business requirements, ensuring the integrity and security of all IT innovations and infrastructure.

IT Director

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development

• Develops, aligns and drives the Shout IT technology strategy.
• Explores and leverages IT trends to create business value consistent with Shout's

- current and future requirements.

• Identifies a roadmap and sources technology platforms, solutions and functionalities to

- meet future requirements.

• Leads software development efforts to produce new features for Shout staff and clients
• Plan all stages of new feature development.

IT Architecture

• Works with stakeholders on proposals submitted to funders
• Generates a high level software specification, integration and hardware requirements

IT Operations

• Drives the formulation of Shout's enterprise architecture and business system plans, management assessing cost and feasibility, and ensures the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of the organization.
• Manages IT projects and implements opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
• Ensures best practice security measures and technologies to derisk the company.
• Creates platforms (analytical tools; dashboards, etc.) to ensure all functional areas of the business have access to bestinclass analytical tools and systems.
• Ensures the establishment, communication and training of Standard Operating Procedures to support all technology platforms
• Anticipates business disruption and implements contingency plans and technology solutions to ensure business continuity.
• Creates contingency plans for data recovery to ensure seamless accessibility to information
• Provides regular updates and reports on project milestones and progress.

Vendor Management

• Negotiates and concludes contractual agreements with technology partners
• Ensures selection of technology partners is appropriate to meeting the company's cost and functionality requirements.
• Conducts product and vendor evaluations ensuring bestinclass technologies and service
• Formulates and manages contractual agreements with contractors and technology partners, including negotiations of costs and timelines.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance

• Develops enterprise standards to ensure data security.
• Develops standards for organisational IT governance to ensure cyber security

- compliance with IT SOPs and minimise risk.

• Ensures all IT related policies and procedures are established and communicated.
• Ensures adherence to local and international governmental and Funder security requirements

People Leadership

• Leads and manages the IT team to motivate and engage them, to achieve maximum productivity and the achievement of targets.
• Establishes annual performance goals, scheduled performance reviews, provides regular coaching and staff development opportunities
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and organisation values

Budget and Resource Allocation

• Ensures that any current or future commercial risk is minimized or mitigated.
• Develops the IT budget and assumes overall accountability for delivery against budget
• Monitors expenditure against budget and provides solid justification for approval of any extraneous expenditure requirements.

Qualifications:

• BSC in Computer Science/IT or other related IT degree
• 8+ years of experience in IT, including 4 years is in a senior managerial position.
• Proven track record of implementing IT architectures and IT strategy development
• Experience in delivering and managing organizationwide IT projects
• Experience in Database technologies and networks
