The purpose of this position is to assist our members (clients) with legal advice and paralegal solutions to common problems within the parameters set by the Company and the Scorpion Legal Protection Membership Agreement.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Consulting with Members; Attending to clients and providing legal advice and assistance
Drafting & Attending to Correspondence; Attending to drafting and responding to correspondence on behalf of clients
File/Case Management; Ensuring that all case files are maintained and regularly updated
Liaison with Attorneys/Claims Dept.; Attend to obtaining advice and instructions on legal matters
Providing Feedback to Clients; Ensuring that clients receive regular updates and feedback
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education; Must have Matric (Grade 12); and must have completed legal degree (LLB or B Proc, B Juris, BLC or B Com/BA Law)
Experience; At least two (2) years' legal experience. Practice experience advantageous.
Customer service experience (must) and Experience in drafting legal documentation (must).
Must be computer literate; specifically proficient in MS Word and Outlook.
Must have strong knowledge in all fields of law.
Versatile and enthusiastic.
Professional knowledge; Must have a working knowledge of Motor Vehicle sale agreements, the Consumer Protection Act; Motor vehicle collisions; contractual law relating to disputes involving motor vehicles. Must have knowledge on organisations such as the various Ombudsman and the National consumer Commission.
