    Job Purpose
  • To support Trading Operations management team objectives, by fulfilling of requests from clients and staff, in order to achieve business results with effective level of client satisfaction and risk management, across product teams. Support extends across daily BaU deliverables, project deliverables and the development and deployment of strategic trajectory supporting initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial loses by ensuring correctness, accuracy of flow of information, understanding, adoption and adherence to best market practice and industry guidance.
  • Enable achievement of financial targets by meeting client service standards, projects and efficiencies
  • Enable performance against budgeted targets by evaluating and assessing existing performance against desired outcomes
  • Providing support to management team across value chain and products, embracing fluid role requirements and evolving daily tasks to support greatest tactical and strategic need.
  • Build and maintain warm working relationships with peers and managers through regular interaction and teamwork.
  • Ensure sound relationships with external stakeholders by managing client and stakeholder expectations through appropriate communication and forums.
  • Support management teams with the review and consideration of the effectiveness of processes by tracking, measuring and analysing data relating to work processes.
  • Enable capacity by upskilling in roles across the value chain so as to stand in where necessary.
  • Highlight inefficiencies in processes.
  • Suggest ways of reengineering processes.
  • Enable cross functional teaming through use of process knowledge and relationships to suggest best approaches for common and bespoke problems
  • Ensure delivery by using the correct systems and access levels.
  • Mentor and coach peers supporting growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrate teamwork through engaging with staff (sharing information) and encouraging participation in decision making processes.
  • Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders by building capability of self and staff through identifying current and future training and development needs.
  • Contribute to team effectiveness by living the mutifunctionalist operator mindset.
  • Ensure that development plan encompasses hard and soft skills with various input types and skill shares
  • Embrace the Nedbank Vision and Values by leading by example and reenforcing values during all engagements.
  • Create a client service culture through various required interventions.
  • Support and encourage staff to participate and support corporate responsibility initiative.
  • Achieve operational excellence by supporting the implementation of business optimisation improvement through project, team and individual initiatives.
  • Participate and ensure managers encourage staff to participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g.
Green Strategy).

  • Ensure issues raised in culture survey are addressed and results are improved
  • Deliver a world class service through others.
  • Identify areas of resource inefficiencies and promote optimisation through promoting multiskilling and addressing capacity gaps by reviewing and improving work processes.


 Essential Qualifications
  • NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees


 Preferred Qualification
  • Financial Markets Certificate
  • Preferred Certifications
  • ACI, registered Persons Exam (RPE), SAIFM, JSE Settlement Officer, JSE Registered trader or combo of these
  • Minimum Experience Level 10 years in financial markets (and 5 years in a managerial role beneficial).
