Overview:


The Backyard Academy is seeking a dedicated and innovative Programme Coordinator to oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programmes and workshops.

The Programme Coordinator will play a key role in developing engaging and impactful learning experiences that meet the needs of our diverse community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a calendar of educational programmes, workshops, and events based on community needs and interests.
  • Collaborate with management, instructors, and community partners to design and deliver highquality, interactive learning experiences.
  • Coordinate all aspects of programme implementation, including scheduling, participant registration, venue logistics, and resource procurement.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise programme facilitators, ensuring that they have the necessary support and resources to deliver effective sessions.
  • Monitor programme effectiveness and participant satisfaction through evaluation surveys, feedback mechanisms, and attendance records.
  • Analyse data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for programme enhancements or adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organisations, schools, and other stakeholders to expand programme reach and impact.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in education and community development, incorporating innovative approaches into programme design and delivery.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate programme outcomes, achievements, and impact to stakeholders and funders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, community development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in programme coordination, preferably in an educational or communitybased setting.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, participants, and community partners.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to develop engaging and impactful learning experiences.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Passion for education, community development, and lifelong learning.
